The last weekend of May: A three-day festival in Kristinehamn with a funfair, market stalls, and events. A tradition dating back to the 1700s, now a celebration of fun for all ages!
Fastingen has its origins in the 1700s and 1800s and was traditionally held in February/March. Back then, it set the world market price for iron, among other things, and the whole town came alive as “everyone” was there. Today, Fastingen is purely for entertainment and is held annually on the last weekend of May.
The funfair starts at 2:00 PM on Thursday, 12:00 PM on Friday, and 10:00 AM on Saturday.
