Fishing in Bäckhammar

Bäckhammar Fishing Association manages a 3 km long stretch of the Visman stream, located in the small town of Bäckhammar – 15 km south of Kristinehamn. The waters offer trout and rainbow trout in flowing river conditions.

Fishing is allowed from Bruksdammen up to the old turbine dam.
🎣 From Bruksdammen to Allébron: fly fishing, spin fishing and angling are allowed.
🎣 From Allébron to the turbine dam: fly fishing only.

Fishing rules

  • Max 2 noble fish (trout or rainbow trout) per day and permit. Fishing must stop after 2 are caught.

  • No catch limit on other species

  • Only 1 rod per person

  • Children under 15 fish on their guardian’s permit

  • Valid ID must be shown to fishing supervisors
